READINESS
Multraship is highly committed to Emergency
Response Salvage, maintaining dedicated salvage
stations and holding a standby agreement with the
Zeeland Safety Region for the provision of fire-fighting
tugs along the River Scheldt. The company holds a
long-term contract with the Dutch government for
the provision of Emergency Towing Services with
the ETV ‘Guardian’, based in Den Helder. When wind
conditions reach Beaufort 5 and above, the ETV
will put to sea and make itself available to provide
emergency assistance to drifting vessels or ships
in distress, and to deliver life-saving services. In
addition to its use as an Emergency Towing Vessel,
the vessel can also be used as a platform for Search
and Rescue (SAR) operations.
