Insulation
HempFlax Natural Insulation is durable insulation material made from natural hemp fibre
for use in construction and for the DIY-er. It consists of 90% hemp fibre and 10% bico or PLA
(corn starch) fibre reinforcement and is available in slabs of different thicknesses.
HempFlax Natural Insulation is suitable for heat, cold and sound insulation of roofs, walls
and floors and is the ecological alternative to conventional insulation materials. The
processing of HempFlax Natural Insulation is clean and dust free, and moreover, the
material is skin-friendly. Hemp fibre has good moisture-absorbing and distribution
properties resulting in optimal moisture regulation. Because hemp fibre does not contain
protein, the material does not need to undergo chemical treatment against moths and
beetles. Soda is added as a fire-extinguishing agent. HempFlax Natural Insulation therefore
provides a people-friendly and healthy interior climate.
HempFlax Natural Insulation is a high-quality product with a high insulating value and
excellent technical properties. It complies with European technical requirements (ETA) and
DIN standards and has earned testing and approval certificates.
