HempFlax products
Wood
Hemp wood is made from the wood core of environmentally friendly grown
hemp. Hemp wood is used, among other things, for the manufacture of
Hemparade & BioBase stable litter. Hemp wood is also part of Hemcrete, a mixture
of hemp wood, limestone and clay. This sustainable building material is a substitute for
traditional brick and concrete. Hemcrete can save up to 140 kg of CO2 per m2 of wall.
Calculated for an average detached house, this can lead to CO2 savings of up to 15,000 kg.
Paper
HempFlax hemp fibre is also used as a raw material in the production of various paper
products, from tobacco rolling papers to banknotes.
